Synopsis

Teknologi reproduksi, perkembangan dan implementasinya serta kebijakan dan kendala terkait swasembada daging nasional dibahas lebih mendalam pada bab berikutnya yaitu perkembangan bioteknologi reproduksi pada sapi potong, kontribusi bioteknologi reproduksi dalam perbibitan sapi lokal Indonesia, serta strategi dan kebijakan penerapan bioteknologi reproduksi dalam mendukung swasembada daging nasional. Pembahasan aspek tersebut dikaitkan dengan hasil riset selama berkarier sebagai peneliti di bidang bioteknologi reproduksi ternak. Hal yang dibahas ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam percepatan swasembada daging nasional.

Syahruddin, Pusat Penelitian Bioteknologi LIPI

Menamatkan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 di Makassar, tahun 1981; Sekolah Menengah Pertama Muhammadiyah di Makassar, tahun 1984; Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 4 di Makassar, tahun
1987. Mendapatkan gelar Sarjana Peternakan dari Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar, tahun 1991; memperoleh gelar Master of Agriculture Science dari Okayama University, Jepang, tahun 2000; dan memperoleh gelar Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) dari Okayama University, Jepang, tahun 2003. Selain itu, mendapatkan gelar Insinyur Profesional Utama (IPU) di bidang peternakan dari Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, tahun 2020.
