Synopsis
Sumatran Big Lakes is a compilation of data and information of eight large lakes in Sumatra Island, namely Lake Laut Tawar, Lake Toba, Lake Maninjau, Lake Singkarak, Lake Diatas, Lake Dibawah, Lake Ranau, and Lake Kerinci. The information of the lakes is presented briefly and covers various aspects, such as its water quality, geographical position, physical dimension, and biological feature.There is no perfection in a human effort to build something, but a process of continuous improvement will further refine the existing one. Hopefully this book can enlighten Indonesian people about various specific ecosystems and provides benefits for human lives to more able to care and maintain those for the sake of human sustainability.
